7 Steps to Register a Company in Sri Lanka

Steps to Incorporate a Private Limited Company in accordance with the Companies Act No 7 of 2007.

1. Requesting & Obtaining Name Approval (could be done online via drc.gov.lk or manually)
2. Drafting/Preparation of Articles (Annexure A), Form 1, Form 18 & Form 19
3. Submitting to Registrar General of Companies duly filled & signed forms by paying the prescribed fees
4. Obtaining Certificate of Incorporation
5. Publication of Public Notice. (in National News Papers in All 3 Languages & in Government Gazette Notification)
6. Obtaining Tax Identification Number (TIN)
7. Issue of Initial Share Issues by Filing Form 6 with the annexe of details of the shareholders
